The Story Emporium is situated in a cozy little corner of The Hope Artiste Village in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. We like to think of ourselves as a clubhouse where children's authors and illustrators meet with their little readers. We sell children's books, but only books of the authors and illustrators that visit and interview with us. So that makes us a very unique bookstore.
Another thing that makes us so unique is the fact that we are not only a bookstore but a working art studio as well. That's right! We have a working author and illustrator right on site! The Story Emporium is Erin T. Whalen's art studio as well as art gallery where all of her latest paintings are displayed for sale. When she is not illustratiing or writing her latest book, she is coordinating events.
